Basic RP Rules
1. Character Immersion
Players must remain in character at all times during roleplay scenarios. Refrain from discussing out-of-character topics while engaged in roleplay to maintain the realism and immersion. Create a detailed backstory for your character, outlining their personality, motivations, and relationships within Genx City. This will help you stay consistent and immersed in your role.
2. Consent and Roleplay Boundaries
Always seek consent from all participants before starting any major roleplay scenario, particularly those involving violence, serious crimes, or significant character development. Respect the comfort zones and boundaries of other players. If someone feels uncomfortable with a scene, be considerate and willing to adapt the story to ensure everyone’s comfort.
3. Fear Roleplay
Is the concept of showing appropriate care and concern to preserve your character's safety and life. We aim for balanced gameplay through this rule, and it may not be representative of real life at times Players whose life is in direct danger must RP adequate fear and comply with demands given to them. Direct danger could mean, for example, a gun aimed at your head or any other life threatening stunts.
4. Random Death Match (RDM)
Random Death-match, is a term that people in GTA RP use when someone shoots another player without incentive or any roleplay interaction.
5. Vehicle Death Match (VDM)
Vehicle Death-match is when a player kill or Try's to kill an another player with their vehicle for any reason or roleplay interaction.
6. Combat Log
Players are not allowed to leave the city if you are engaged in an active roleplay situation. (If your game crashes, you are required to come back to the last location and finish the scenario).
7. New Life Rule
This rule starts when you are killed and burned. ( If you are revived by an EMS then NLR will not apply, but if their is no EMS in the city their will be a Bot EMS if you are picked by a Bot EMS you should follow NLR. ) the person who died will forgot all the events and situations which leads to your death. (last 30min) But if you are remembered by someone who is an eye witness you can't perform a revenge RP the only way is to the person who killed you must come and tell you that they killed you then only you can continue the Revenge RP only after proper investigation and confirmation of the culprit.
8. Lore Break
Lore breaking is when a character breaks lore, which is anything that likely affects a character or scenario .That means a player intentionally breaking other players RP situations.
9. Meta Gaming
Players must avoid using out-of-character (OOC) knowledge to gain an unfair advantage in roleplay situations. This includes using information from streams, forums, or external sources that their character wouldn't realistically know.
10. Power Gaming
Players must refrain from forcing actions on other player's characters without their consent or roleplaying unrealistic abilities or traits. Roleplay should be collaborative and allow all players to contribute to the story.
11. Non-Roleplaying
Behavior's is considered as actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality Roleplay. It's difficult to interpret or understand what good roleplay can be sometimes, and we aim to steer players in the direction we want them to go through our server rules. Players are welcome to speak to staff for guidance in regard to Roleplay. Some examples (not exhaustive) of Non-RP.
12. Disconnecting/Crashing/AFK
Disconnecting/Crashing from Active Roleplay Scenarios - Combat Logging/Acting AFK When a game crash/disconnect occurs, players must make an effort to contact the involved players or staff. Acting AFK also considered as compact logging/intentional RP cutting.
13. No Cheating and Exploiting
The use of cheats, hacks, or exploiting game mechanics for unfair advantages is strictly forbidden, as it compromises the integrity of the roleplay experience.
14. Verbal Abuse
Verbally Abusing other players with un-parliamentary words will not be tolerated affected party can raise the Ticket if those words have hurt them. This also include double meaning talks.(If found by Admin Spec Actions will be taken immediately).
15. No Crime Zone's
These are areas that are considered populated, extremely public, and areas that would have ample security measures such as cameras, staff, and so forth. In these areas, players may not commit any crime Safe zone areas are mentioned bellow: All Garages, Impounds, All Legal Job Area's, Hospitals.
16. (OOC) Out Of Character
Use the appropriate in-game channels (e.g., /me, /do, /med) to facilitate clear and effective roleplay interactions. In OOC (/ooc) communication, keep a respectful and friendly tone, working to resolve conflicts constructively. For OOC conflicts, reach out to server administrators or moderators to help mediate and find a fair solution. Keep OOC issues separate from In Character situations, and avoid mixing the two.
17. Hit-man
Hit-man Roleplay is prohibited.
18. Server Rule Compliance
Follow all server-specific rules and guidelines to help maintain a friendly and welcoming roleplay environment for all players. By following these RP rules, you contribute to creating a vibrant and immersive Genx Roleplay experience. Let’s work together to ensure our server is a place where everyone can enjoy and bring their characters to life!
19. Verbal Abuse
Verbally abusing other players with inappropriate language isn’t allowed. If someone feels hurt by such comments, they can submit a report. This includes any remarks that have double meanings.
